Swissnex in Brazil

On 4 April 2024, Swissnex in Brazil will celebrate its 10th anniversary. How fitting then, that we closed this first decade with a year of superlatives. We hosted the biggest number of Innosuisse startups, organized the biggest multi-partner projects, we received the biggest official, economic and scientific delegation and were able to grow our team to the biggest it has ever been.

But beyond these numbers it is the stories behind them that truly made this year a special one. The early-stage startup that connected with a large corporation and made them speechless with their solution. The researcher whose stay in Brazil had a profound impact not only on her research but on her whole life. The young apprentice explaining the Swiss VET system to seasoned HR professionals. The artist and scientist marveling over the secrets of mushrooms and finding unexpected common ground in the middle of the Amazon.

It is these encounters and connections with people from Switzerland, Brazil and beyond that drive us every day and of which we will reap the fruits in 2024 as the long-term programs around our focus themes of the future of food and the bioeconomy unfold.
