ALPS DOWN UNDER – ICRI side-session

A Session, integrated in the program of ICRI (International Conference on Research Infrastructures) as an official side-event, and entitled ‘ALPS DOWN UNDER’, took place on the 5th of December (see attached agenda). It featured Prof. Thomas Schulthess, Director of the Swiss National Supercomputing Center (CSCS), along-iside Prof. Mark Western, from University of Queensland, who presented the newly released National Digital Research Infrastrcture Strategy. A panel discussion focusing on Swiss-Australian collaboration opportunities in the field of digital RIs followed, led by SERI’s Anna Fill and involving SNSF’s Stéphanie Wyss as well as QUT Prof. Balz Kamber. The event brought together a mix of 30+ national policy makers and researchers as well as an interna-tional ICRI participants (UQ, Griffith, QUT, ANU, CSIRO, DISR, SKAO, Microscopy Australia, QIMR, UNISQ, T&I QL, etc.).
