Doing Research in Switzerland Campaign Launch
In October 2025, Swissnex in Washington, D.C. launched the Doing Research in Switzerland campaign. The campaign aims to highlight the wide range of research opportunities available in Switzerland for scholars in the United States.
At the heart of the campaign is a promotional video titled Doing Research in Switzerland, which offers an engaging insight into the life of foreign researchers in Switzerland. The video, produced in collaboration with Presence Switzerland, features ThinkSwiss awardees and Fulbright recipients sharing what makes Switzerland such a compelling place to conduct research, from world-class universities and cutting-edge laboratories to its breathtaking natural landscapes, as well as the ease to build social and professional connections.
The video premiered in October in Washington D.C, during Swiss Academia Night. The flagship event of the Science Section (Swissnex) is hosted at the Embassy of Switzerland in the United States and brings together Swiss academics and researchers based in the U.S., Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) postdoctoral fellows, Fulbright alumni, and current ThinkSwiss awardees and alumni. This activation offers a unique opportunity to engage with the influent network of Swiss affiliated researchers in the United States.
Beyond the promotional video, the Doing Research in Switzerland campaign also included the launch of two new pages on the Swissnex website. One page showcases the diverse research opportunities available in Switzerland, while the other introduces the redesigned ThinkSwiss page. The ThinkSwiss scholarship program promotes research exchanges between Switzerland, the United States, and Canada, offering students the opportunity to spend two to three months at leading Swiss universities and research institutions.
