Swissnex connects with the Kingdom of Denmark

The Swissnex network expanded in 2023 and now includes the Kingdom of Denmark with a Science and Technolgy Counsellor in Copenhagen. As one of the most innovative countries in the world, Denmark is a natural match for Swissnex. Greenland and Faeroe Islands are no less relevant. The Kingdom of Denmark is the perfect place to deep dive into the future topics such as quantum research, climate protection, natural resources and health.

The newly established Nordic Swissnex location started by hosting a high-profile event on quantum applications with Danish and Swiss guests from industry and academia.

Swissnex also sought the cold and participated in a scientific exchange between the Swiss Polar Institute (SPI) and the Greenland Research Council at various locations in Greenland.

Swissnex also supported signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions and organized the first-ever Swissnex event in Greenland under the title "Towards No Earthly Pole - Perceptions on Climate Change from the Alps to Greenland", with the support of Swiss artist Julian Charrière. In the fall, Swissnex and Switzerland Global Enterprise shook up the annual tech conference TechBBQ in Copenhagen for the first time with a high-profile delegation of Swiss health tech start-ups and a pop-up raclette for the general public.

The year was closed with an exclusive event at the Embassy on the Future of Education, with the participation of the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training SFUVET.
